Fostering Professional Development and Leadership: Enhancing Educational Outcomes for Children
At Darwin Montessori Taree, we prioritize the continuous professional development and cultivation of leadership skills among our staff members. We understand that investing in the growth and advancement of our educators directly translates into better educational outcomes for the children in our care. The benefits of driving professional development and leadership skills are manifold. First and foremost, our educators gain a deeper understanding of child development, learning techniques, and educational approaches. This knowledge translates into the creation of engaging and stimulating learning environments that foster children’s intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
We are very proud to share the news that our lovely Director Michelle has successfully completed her training relating to being a Peer Assisted Study Sessions Leader. In Michelle’s own words:
“It was an honour to be asked by the University of New England PASS team to become a Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) Leader. PASS aims to support students by increasing their performance and contributing to a sense of belonging to the UNE Community. I hold sessions every week during the trimesters to support and facilitate students with their learning.
To be chosen as a PASS Leader, the student leader needs to demonstrate high achievement in the subject. As an extremely passionate early childhood professional, I could not wait to have the opportunity to support other students in their learning and be a part of what is the foundation of children’s lives.”
