Babies Group
3 months- 2 years old
08.00am - 11.00am | Outdoor Activities (Flexible Morning Tea). |
11.00am - 11.45am | Free exploration in Montessori baby area. |
11.45am - 12.00am | Pack away and clean up, ready for lunch (Flexible routine). |
12.00pm - 12.30pm | Lunch (Flexible routine). |
12.30pm - 02.00pm | Rest, sleep or quiet time (Flexible routine). |
02.00pm - 3.15pm | Library/ Role Play/ Project/ Music & Movements (Flexible routine). |
3.15pm - 5.15pm | Outdoor Activities (Flexible Afternoon Tea). |
Mixed-Aged Group
2 years old – 5 years old
08.00am - 05:15pm | Our program is flexible and adapts to the children's interests it includes: Outdoor Activities (& Flexible Morning Tea) Construction. Acknowledgement of Country/ Morning group. Library/Dramatic Play, Project, Music & Movement, Indigenous Study. Montessori Group Activities (Flexible to children’s interest). Practical Life & Art & Craft. Sensorial & Puzzles. Language/ Literacy, Mathematics/ Numeracy, & Cultural Studies. Rest Time or Quiet Time with Quiet Activities Provided. Mandarin Session (Second language). Outdoor Physical Activities (Flexible Afternoon Tea). Physical Education (3-4 Stations)/ Outdoor Activities. |

Introducing Aboriginal culture in childcare



Darwin Montessori is a multicultural service, we believe in the uniqueness of every child and their families and respect individual choices, cultures and religions. We collaborate with the wider community, involving in celebrations and supporting agencies.
Australian Aboriginal culture includes a number of practices and ceremonies centered on a belief in the Dreamtime and other mythology. Reverence and respect for the land and oral traditions are emphasised.
